Thanks to the ongoing efforts of environmental campaigns, over 70% of Tasmania remains natural wilderness.

The temperatures may be low, but its a spectacular location. With Mt Wellington, frequented by snow all year round, as the backdrop of the capital.




The famous Overland track runs North to South from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair. I briefly worked with the National Parks and Wildlife Service at Narcissus Hut, conducting market research. I stayed in the Rangers Hut.

Freycinet National Park covers parts of the east coast with amazing lookouts over Wine Glass Bay.




The outdoor activities are awesome. Whilst studying at the University of Tasmania I was lucky enough to be apart of the the White Water Rafting Club and Rock Climbing Club. I rafted the Picton several times, and the Derwent. I rocked Climbed indoors at the centre, in preparation for an expedition to White Water Wall.



These social sports were unforgettable.
