Poetic Expression

Last year I published a collection of poems which I had been working in for 2.5years.

After publication I began turning up to poetry open mic nights and actually got up and read a few poems.
This started at a little pub in Melbourne called the Drunken Poet. I then went along to the Brunswick Hotel and got up on the mic once again.

Never be afraid to express your emotions, even in a public platform.

The rewards will out way the nerves or any discomfort you may feel.

People applauded me and said they really enjoyed my reading.

One night at a pub called Lost in St Kilda there was a break in the bands performance and the mic was free.

My mates knew the owner and asked if I could do a reading on the spot. Of course I had brought a copy of my book with me just in case this might happen!

I went on the do readings at Irish Murphy's in Hobart, the Moon a Cafe in Perth, and one of my favourite places, Glebe, Sydney.

I hope to read in every state, next I want to read in Noosa QLD.

This collection is about happiness, sadness, joy, love, loss and failure.

Tonight I will be doing a reading at Hares n Hyenas at an event called ContraVerse. I love the freedom of poetry and it's unique form of expression.
