Acronyms I May Start Using When Texting

I have an interest in 'new' words and acronyms. There are so many acronyms these days, and some seem to be used specifically in texting or perhaps in online chat. They can be kinda fun and are sometimes convenient when you are in a hurry or want to limit the length of your text. One problem is knowing if the person you are texting will understand what you mean. If they don't they can find out through Urban Dictionary or they may text back WDYMBT (What Do You Mean By That?)

Some acronyms I could find useful
  • LMK: Let Me Know.
  • SLAP: Sounds Like A Plan
  • WFM: Works For Me
  • NRN: No Reply Necessary
  • NAYL: In A While (I didn't get this one until I said it aloud)
  • JIC: Just in case
  • YSK: You Should Know.
  • AFAIK: As Far As I Know
  • TIL: Today I Learned
  • B/C: Because
  • SITD: Still In The Dark
  • HAK: Hugs And Kisses
  • ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5 (years old) This is one I can see myself using when communicating about computer stuff and mobile phones.
  • QOTD: Quote Of The Day (Ever so useful as I do love clever or thought provoking quotes)

  • On a light note
I think it would be fun to use -
  • DFTBA: Don't Forget To Be Awesome
  • MTFBWY: May The Force Be With You
  • YMMD: You Made My Day
  • and just plain
  • HF: Have Fun
