Beautiful Birds

Beautiful Birds

In the early hours of the morning the birds can be heard. They are the first thing I hear when I wake up.

At my place you get frequent visitors on the balcony. Mostly pigeons, there is one very daring pigeon who would almost touch your hand. Today I was visited by an amazing black raven.

At home in Sydney I remember the birds in the park. Every afternoon they would be making noise and feeding, the Rainbow Lorikeets.

Around my fathers place on the central coast of NSW you will always see the pelicans, waiting for the fisher mans scraps.

On a camping trip with the boyfriend in a national park in NSW we saw a red-tailed black cockatoo.

On other camping trips I recall being woken up by the kookaburras laugh. There are a few kookaburras around my sisters property in QLD.

I volunteered with Sydney Wildlife for a while, and during that time I rehabilitated a magpie, successfully.

Birds can be so allusive, so hard to photograph or view. Getting a good glimpse is a special moment.
