As women, we've all be criticized for our weight. We're either too fat, too thin....just never "perfect". But what is perfect and why are we all so hard, not just on ourselves, but other women as well?
You see it on every gossip magazine, so and so has gained 10 kilos, can you believe what she eats, or she lost how much just two weeks after having that baby?!
As women, we need to take a stand and support each other in our right to be perfectly imperfect. We've fought too hard for women's rights to bash each other in this manner. We shouldn't be judging each other by kilos or how quickly we lost the baby weight. Its on the inside that counts. I know it's cliched, but it's true.
So, rather than be cruel to each other and set unrealistic standards for ourselves and other women around us, let's stand together and embrace our bodies as they are.
Be thankful for your body and what it does for you every day rather than find flaws in it. Listen to your body and give it the nutrition it needs and deserves rather than denying it or starving it. You'll find your body will thank you when you do.
The more we love our bodies and accept ourselves for who we are, the more we'll project love and acceptance to those around us and stop the negative body fad that has been going on for far too long.
So reject those fad diets, listen to your body and not those gossip magazines. You are beautiful just the way you are, we are all.
