It's always helpful to have a reminder about the things that matter most in life - even a checklist to tick off every now and again. Coming upon such a sign in a shop or cafe can be a good opportunity to stop for a moment and reflect.
So just how are we going on the list? Appreciating friends and family - tick. Going to the edge - kind of. Laugh - big tick. Continue to learn - big tick. Practice wellness and play - well sort of.
It can help to be reminded every now and again of what it is that make our lives meaningful. It usually isn't the objects and possessions but instead the experiences that we have, the relationships and the hope for the future that matter most.
When we look at positive lists like this we might notice the areas that we feel we haven't been so successful at or that we have regrets about. So part of this process can be to acknowledge these, learn to accept them and then look to the future to continue to learn and live. The experiences that are most uncomfortable are also the ones we've probably learned most from so that we can tackle them in new ways in the future.
