Not Enough Parents

Cosy chats with my girlfriends inevitably end up with children talk.

A thing that always comes up is how we could have done this, or could have done that about a certain problem.

These chats are full of angst and regret so we make comforting noises and hug each other should the need arise.

Most people I know did the best they could. We all made mistakes and now with the benefit of hindsight and experience we can see how we could have handled things differently.

If this is you, pat yourself on the back, it only means you learnt something along the way. You are in the perfect position to offer advice for a similar problem if someone asks you for it.
