The Buddhist tradition contains deities, embodiments of enlightened wisdom and how to experience healing, compassion and hope.
Pain and suffering is said to come from the mind, as does absolute satisfaction. A Buddha is a divine being, enlightened, free from ignorance, pure of mind, body and soul and all knowing.
Buddhists are peace lovers, tolerating, wise, loving, compassionate advocates. Buddhism encourages you to be mindful and aware of all thoughts, actions and words. It places others above the self.
Buddhist practices aim to eliminate all suffering, envoke wisdom and understanding of the true nature of the universe. The beliefs taught include how conditioning leads to suffering. This suffering can be eliminated through action.
What I have learnt from studying this religion is to be free of bias, show some compassion, experience joy and express kindness.
